severe cramping in the legs, felt my body weighed ten tons, limited to 10 mg per week, has breaking pills as two hours after the relief another headache would come and was strongly advised by my then neuro not to take more than 10 mg per week, there are many sites about ergotamine rebound, I don't have the URL's anymore but a quick search will find many, ergotamine is not a cure in my opinion but a means to keep those blasted CH's from coming back and back and back. In my opinion, it's better to find the cause of the CH's and avoid them, eat a good diet of food, and get plenty of exercise, I started biking on the Sparta trail 40-50 miles and would bike around town at least 100 miles per week, I would not part with my Invocare 5 liter/minute oxygen concentrator, got a unit off of Ebay with only 200 hours on it for $375.00 and can buy non-rebreathable mask for five bucks at my local health store, for me, so much better than medications, I could kill that neuro for putting me on ergotamine and the millions of other drugs that caused CH's or made them worse, took over two years for my legs to recover to get that crap out of my system, each to his own, but this is my experience, take it for what it is worth, verapamil almost killed me, was diagnosed with a heart attack, that was 15 years ago, got off of verapamil and after two years of EKG's, doc said, hmmm, must of been the verapamil after all.
