I recently got through my second bout with clusters (hopefully). The first was 10 yrs. ago, and I had no idea it was cluster headaches. Lasted about 2 months. Recently, I got treatment after about 2 weeks of hell (prednisone, verapamil and maxalt) and it appears to have worked. This morning I got all of the early indications, stuffy nostril, watery eye, slight head tingling and pressure. I took a maxalt and it all just disappeared. This is the first time it has manifest itself with no pain. Is this the "shadow" and will this keep happening. It was very strange, but better than the pain.
