I get the 2x a year cycles, they usually hit in the morning, and emotionally you sound like where i was a few years back. I don't know what you've tried but here's my routine. When the cycle starts up, 1200 mg lithium a day. 300 mg a day 4x daily. Make sure your doctor monitors your blood levels with the lithium. The lithium takes about 7 to 10 days to really go towork. For the headaches that break thru the lithium, I breathe the oxygen and take 2 cafergot. Usually within 10 minutes I'm okay again. I resisted the lithium for years because of all the negative sounds of a mental illness drug. It works like a charm for me, I hope it helps you. Hang in there a lot of people here care for you!
