I have taken everything the website talks about. Currently I am on Sansert 2mg, 4X a day. Thanks to the good Lord above I have an extremely supportive family. I guess you could say my family history is not typical. My father had cluster headaches for a long time and "grew out of them" as they say at the age of 48. My paternal great-grandfather we suspect had them. According to family members he would "search for concrete as well" and finally couldn't take it anymore and shot himself in the head. My great-grandmother who is still alive and kicking says I remind her of him because of my being fine one minute then acting as a crazed idiot another minute again "searching for concrete" as he also did. My doctor is another saving grace that I have he is a neurologist here in Indy and probably the kindest and most understanding person I know who doesn't have cluster headaches. I went through a lot of toads(different doctors)before I found him. I'm a little down because he has been out of town on a family emergency and I haven't been able to speak to him in about 10 days. Usually, by now he would have me in the hospital to keep me from beating my head to a pulp. I sport a nice shiner on my left eye with about 7 stitches above the same eye. Emergency rooms suck because most of those docs have never seen a cluster headache before and they do not understand they think I'm nuts--maybe I am who's to say. Everytime I get one of those skeptical jerks I sit and think "Lord just give them 1 cluster headache to deal with--make it short in duration just long enough to give them a taste of what it's like. Then maybe they would be better able to understand. I know I'm lucky in a lot of ways some sufferers aren't. I have a good doc who cares, an entire family who battles with me, and a little bit of faith that sees me through. Thanks for listening.
