Imitrex injections is also my husbands drug of choice. Only thing that works. Back in October he was having anywhere from 4-6 clusters per day (8-10 on kip scale. He used as many as 5 injections in a day. I was very nervous with every injection. In between he would use percocet (only 2 at a time though - even though they didn't work that well). Thank god he never had a reaction. Most times I would not let him take more than 3 a day, we would supplement it by going to the ER and getting a shot of Demerol or morphine. Then he would come home and crash. That really sucked. What a way to live. He now is only having shadows and little ones (1-2 on scale)and he uses oxygen or imitrex pills.
