Your post clarifying the situation adresses most of the points I was having trouble with. I hope you understand why I had to bring them up. If you have been reading the messages on this board for two years, you must know that from time to time we have people who take some kind of sick pleasure in posing as sufferers.

I must admit that one of the reasons I wasn't sure if my suspicions were correct was your descriptions of things that only clusterheads or supporters of clusterheads would normally know. I just figured that it was some exceptionally perceptive shroomhead who had spent a day or two reading many posts in order to pose more successfully.

If you check your own posts, you will see that it was unclear how long ago your husband had tried the mushrooms, where you had obtained them originally, why exactly you were thanking Flash and Doc Charley, etc. It was presented in such a way that it was reasonable to assume that the first mushroom connection came about due to Flash's link to DroolDonkey on January 6. If you had made it clear from the beginning that the original success had happened last year, I might not have challenged you.

And, even YOU must admit, it was a truly enormous coincidence that your first post to CH.com and Nathan's death were less than a day apart. A grisly, horrible coincidence, to be sure, but a huge coincidence nonetheless.

Some other coincidences: Nathan and your husband had similar builds, both were kickboxing fans, as well as having an extraordinary amount of other things in common. Is it any wonder a reasonable person might raise some questions?

Since you have been reading the posts on this board for two years you must know that, if anything, I am an even bigger zealot than you when it comes to the mushroom therapy. Flash is the discoverer, but I think it is fair to say that I am the number one disciple. I am sure that the regulars must be puking sick of seeing yet another pinksharkmark mushroom post.

But, I want to hear both sides of the story. I have asked more than once if anyone out there has negative experiences with this therapy. I want to make sure that the information presented on this board is as accurate as possible, so people can make informed decisions. Because of the potential legal challenges facing some clusterheads who choose to go this route, it is CRITICAL that they be armed with FACTS... not with manufactured anecdotes. I am a hard-nosed skeptic BECAUSE I am so entranced with this therapy. It sounds too good to be true... there must be SOME failures out there.

A final point...I must admit that I am still at a loss to understand your reluctance to point us to an obituary. This is a matter of public record. As you say, "It is only reported the he killed himself ". Can you please tell us WHERE it was reported? The Toronto Star? The Ottawa Citizen? Any lingering doubts would be erased by seeing a death notice for Nathan B. born in 1964 who died on January 11. I fail to see how you would be betraying any confidence by providing this information. It has already been reported that he took his own life. Isn't is better that people know that he did so out of unbearable physical agony rather than out of guilt, or shame, or mental instability, or any of a dozen other sordid reasons that people might imagine? Let him be remembered with respect, not with suspicion.
