I too suffer from the "ice pick headaches", this is what my pc dr. called them. She too prescribed indomethachin which helped.
I notice that whenever I have these severe pains that my left eye lid also swells. I also suffer from cornary artery spasams which there maybe some connection.
I quit taking them and pain returned, only to last longer in duration. I guess I should start back on my indocin. When had my first attack (aug. 2000) I thought I was having a stroke which was very
frightening. During the first attack I had numbness in my forehead and along my left temple and cheek, which is still numb. I had a CT Scan and MRA which they said was "normal".
I have also been diagnosed with Fibro in July . If anyone else suffers from this condiction and has any helpful info. Please reply.

Pat
