I too have experienced soreness in the temple area; tender to the touch. Sometimes I wonder if it is'nt from rubbing for hours at a time.
The pain in the eye after a severe cluster I've had that also. I've always told people it feels like someone threw sand in my eye; it hurts bad.
Hang in there and keep coming back.
