Hi! Wow lots of new names! I haven't been here regularly for years! It was a welcome break from pain but I feel so out of touch with the information I am now desperate for to make the pain go away! Also until this cluster I hadn't experienced a "bad" doctor! I've moved out of the city and into the country and doctors are very different! None of them want to treat me because my headaches are "complex" So to everyone I didn't understand until now... I am so sorry for the extra frustration you've experienced and I hope you've found an awesome doc! Are there any new treatments out there? I am on verapamil and then cafergot and codiene! Problem codiene-yuck! and cafergot has a max of 10/week and I'm at 16 in 4 days! So the 911 doc gave me liquid morphine-what the HELL? I guess anti-psychotic drugs have been effective! Which seems right as I do feel somewhat psychotic from pain lately! I phoned my city doc @ home and she has read that celebrex and vioxx have had some success with CH! I'd like to try prednisone again but I can't remember if it's only effective if you take it right at the beginning of a cluster or can you take it anytime? I was on lithium once but can't remember how effective it was! Funny that when I'm not in pain I forget so fast! Possibly to enjoy pain-free days! Maybe this year I will keep a diary! Also I think I'm getting migraines now mostly right sided (All clusters always left sided!) but no doc wants to listen long enough nevermind investigate! Anyway...better go the stupid screen aggravates my head! Thanks for still being here! SUSAN
