Going by the start of your post, you sound like someone who might have already encountered the recreational drugs LSD and magic mushrooms. I say this because your CV reads a little like mine. I too ride motorcycles - I'm on my 10th one in as many years. I never played in bands, the only instrument I have enough talent to play with is the one between my legs LOL. But I know exactly where you're coming from. It feels stupid if you are generally respected as someone who can take care of himself, and others, but these fuckin headaches render you defenceless.
I have been using shrooms or LSD once a year to break my cycle since 1993. It works every time. Read some of my old posts on the subject. There's also a lot of good science behind why this works, that others have helped fill in. We must have 18-24 people from this board - both chronics and episodics that have used this treatment sucessfully over the last 2-3 years. Most of them don't visit the board anymore, that's probably the best indication of how well it works.
If you aren't scared of taking these things, then they are the best solution. From your post it sounds like you wouldn't find it hard to get hold of them.
