Hi to all. I post rarely but observe quite often. I have been episodic for 27 years. My question or my search for simalarities is that I seem to cope with the DEMON alot better on nightshift. I currently work a 5:15 to 2:00 shift. I must add that I start early most of the time (4:15) and because of mandatory overtime I don't get off until 4:30 or 5:00. I have been on this scedule for 6.5 years. When my episodes starts they happen 2 hours after going to sleep. I must add that i fall asleep within 5 minutes of going to bed. I have had this timed by wife. I will try and shorten this by saying that I know my triggers (BEER, peanuts, cafine, chocolate). What I am trying to say is that I have found some releive in living on second shift. I know when to expect them ( 2 hours after I go to bed) and how I can deal with them (usually codine allthough a trip to the E.R. and demerol has happened. This post is only looking for some kind of simularity in that we may find a better way to cope with the DEMON. I am open to opionions and 2nd shift experiences. I must post that I have been pain free for 13 months and that is the longest in 27 years. Hey sailpappy in my post I had a typo that said 2 years it should have been 1. Well for someone who can't type or that never post I have said enough. I would like some respose to 2nd shift lifestyle if anyone else is trying it. :>)
