Sadly, beta blockers (typically Inderal, generic name propanolol) rarely work very well for clusterheads or CPHers. They do work for some migraineurs.

Midrin, I believe, will be pretty rough on stomach linings that have already been aggravated.

Indomethacin (Indocin) has the advantage of being available as a suppository. This would certainly be kinder on Daniel's poor stomach.

I am as baffled as you are at the doc's reluctance to prescribe Indocin "bullets", as jonny calls them. While it is true that the Indocin MAY also be ineffective, there is obviously no way to know that without giving it a try, and it has a FLAWLESS track record with CPH. Daniels's symptomology indicates a very strong possibility of CPH. Go figure. *shakes head in disgust*

I don't know what to tell you except "keep fighting", something I have no doubt you will do anyway.
