It varies. I've had times where I've baked every day, sometimes never, sometimes once or twice a week. For the first 6 years of my clusters I never baked. There's no correlation in my case.
BTW I'm writing from Ann Arbor, Michigan, home of the Hash Bash, and I'm glad to see open and honest discussion about it.
