Actually I am on Depakote(1500mg) AND Topamax(150mg) as my preventatives, also 9mg of melatonin at bed time. In the last 2 and a half years they haf done a liver function test 4 times and it has come out fine each time. My neuro said some of the eary warning signs of depakote effecting the liver would be strange bruising and bleeding gums. I am chronic and these preventatives keep them down to #4s most of the time with #10s a couple of times a month.
I went to 2000mg of depakote at one time but developed a tremour and had to decrease dose.
