yesterday I went for my annual physical checkup at my doctor. It had nothing to do with CH. After being poked and prodded I went to the lab to get a blood test and pee in a cup. As I sat and waited for them I began to get the sensation of a cluster headache coming on. I have had CH for 16 years and have been chronic for 4, so I know what I am talking about. My doctor by this time was off with another patient somewhere and I didn't want to run down the hall screaming for imitrex, I had that trapped feeling. The CH was about half developed when the nurse called me in. I didn't know what else to do but go. She sat me down and quickly took three rather large tubes of blood from my arm. As I sat there holding a cotton ball on the wound I noticed that the CH symptoms were completely gone. The whole thing had vanished. I don't know if the blood loss had anything to do with it or not, I don't know what happened, I'm just glad that it did. Make of this what you will.
