The is a nerve block that can be done and is effective with some people. I had one a few weeks ago, but it didn't do me any good. It made my ear go numb for an hour or two. I was first diagnosed with TN, but later diagnosed wiht clusters. I guess the block doesn't work on clusters. Ask your doc.
