Hi, my name is Mike and I'm 19 years old. I have been suffering from headaches for about the last year. I have been going to doctors for about half of the last year, and have pretty much given up on them figuring anything out. My doctor said I may have cluster headaches, but after reading the info on this website I don't really think I do. I'll go ahead and describe the headache, then tell you what all the doctors have tried on me. First of all my headache is not usually on either side of my head, it's always in the back, but sometimes engulfs my whole head. Headaches last as short as 4-6 hours, to as long as 4 months. Last year I had one headache from the middle of february to late June. Headaches on average will last about 4-6 days. It never went away, but it did get better/worse. Headaches on average will last about 4-6 days. The pain is a mostly a dull ache, but on more than several occasions has been extremely severe, enough to want to go to the hospital, but realizing there is nothing they can do. I sometimes experience nasua, but not always. I have tried numerous medications, including Zomig and amitryptilene(sp?). The only medication that has worked was mentioned in a previous post, Stadol NS. But the bad thing about Stadol(at least for me) is it makes me extremely nasuous, and after I take it I pretty much can't do anything. I also feel really, um, drunk, when I use it. I have also had a MRI, numerous blood tests and have seen 2 nuerologists(who I believe were complete idiots). I have also gone to Chiropractors and accupuncturists with no luck. I am going back to the doctor thursday to get my spine X-rayed, and if they don't find anything they will move to a spinal tap as a last resort. If anyone can help me you would have my greatest appriciation. Thanks for listening.
