I also have (usually) 6 weeks, once a year, and I agree that no drugs have helped me, and most have hurt. They seem to work for a few days, and then the headaches come back, and the cycle lasts longer, and is less predictable. I personally can't stand the disappointment of trying new drugs only to find that it screws my life up worse than it already was. It is a pleasure for me to hear from someone else who is just trying to get by.
Certainly, I am all in favor of those who keep trying, and that is part of why I keep coming to this board. I will try the shrooms cure next year, already tried _SD. I'll keep looking and listening, but my way is just to try and live through each cycle as it comes. I don't fight the cycle or the pain, because that just makes it worse for me.
I have had clusters about 25 years, and had never met anyone who could understance before. This cycle I found this site, and it has made a huge difference for me. I am blown away every time I hear about the very young people who already have clusters, or the mentally disabled. Thanks to everyone here for the great support, and all the suggestions.
