If you do decide to quit, why don't you get your doc to write a scrip for that inhaler that still supplies nicotine while you're quitting. I agree that the withdrawal might be worse than the smoking.
I've smoked a long time also. I am thinking of using the inhaler to quit. It's gotten to where you can't really smoke anywhere except at home any more anyhow.
