The OUCH Board of Directors has some lenghty and rather heated discussion on this topic. Simon brought it to the forefront with the UKCH org.

The problem is that different countries have different problems in dealing with CH. Political, medical, etc. We were trying to find the middle ground in letting other "chapters" run their org they way that best suits their local needs yet retain some accountability to OUCH.

Simon proposed some changes to the Bylaws regarding OUCH chapters. It's been longer than the 30 day discuassion period that the Bylaws call for so I'm surprised that nobody has called for a vote of BOD yet.

I personally felt that the other chapters sould keep any dues collected to operate their chapter in a way that best suits their needs. Basic rules such as remaining non-discriminatory, non-political, etc. would remain. Using the OUCH logo would be by permission of the mother org.(even though we haven't registered the logo yet). We want the chapters to be autonomous but still consider all of us one organization.

Lots of things to consider but we're working on it. Hope that answers your question.
