Hi, I'm new to the site so please forgive me if I do something wrong.
I am a middle age male who has suffered from cronic headaches ever since I could remember. Last year i went through a period of such intense pain [eye, cheek, and behind my ears]
My right eye drooped and almost closed. It peaked to the point if I stood upright I was in uncontrollable pain. I would put my head in my hands and just rock back and forth. I broke things in fits of pain/rage. I was hospitalized for almost a week while they ran tests. The pain would be subdued and then to the point that I would drop to my knees. I would just rock back and forth, screaming, etc.
Outpatients just gave me some morphine, gravol mixture and I slept it off. The next day I woke up the same way and went to see my family doctor who refered me to a nurologist who exclaimed that it was migraines. Point of interest: I never got sick to my stomach:, before one last attack I seen glows on the horizon coming home. I am now in day 5 of my headache{ previous Sept to November} and now the first of the new year.
It varies in intensity, but never leaves. Has anyone got any insight on my problem? I know that you are not all doctors but maybesome can share my their experiences.
ThaNKS,
Brian
