My mother was a hospice patient in my home, she died last April, but they worked hard to keep her out of pain, which was severe as she had stage IV lung cancer. She was given an intrathecal morphine pump at the hospital which did a lot of wonder for her. I also gave her a drug called Roxanol, which is an immediate release morphine in oral suspension. Both these drugs helped tremendously. I also don't know what I would have done without hospice's intervention, I highly recommend them.
