I wait until it fully develops before I medicate the headache, but only because I'm on a tight budget and my precious meds have to last a long time in between refills. Some meds are most effective if taken before the headache fully develops... I have experienced a 98% success rate in abortive meds, so that's what I do. Others aren't as fortunate. During times like the present, that is PFD's, I stockpile my drugs.
