Mike has been to countless doctors and has now refused to go to any more. It wasn't until we found this site that we realized what he suffers from is cluster headaches. We've been the sinus infection, migraine, tension, brain tumour route. All kinds of inconclusive tests. It wasn't until I stumbled upon DJ's homepage that we started doing our own research into this disease. He did go back to the doctor after we found the website and I think he scared her when he showed her his 'cluster eye'. She then referred him to a neuro because I think she thought he was an alien or something. Couldn't get into the neuro, of course, for another six months and Mike's cycle had long since ended by then, so what's the point in going, right?
That's our experience with doctors. We've found a couple of great controls here and Mike is in his longest remission ever because of those treatments (water and shrooms), so it's not high on our list of priorities to go back to a doctor and have to start from square one all over again. So I guess you could put us in the 'don't rely on medical doctors' category. Sorry to be so negative, but that's where we're at.
