Alcohol and clusters don't mix, in most cluster sufferers alcohol triggers attacks. Alcohol does not help anyone to sleep, it hinders sleep. Alcohol can kill the desire to hold a job. Alcohol can cause short temper. Alcohol can turn a person into a 'hermit'.

Alcohol and medicines are dangerous together.

You cannot out-sleep or out-drink a cluster headache. Your husband needs help with his drinking problem. Until that has been taken care of the cluster will continue.

He probably won't accept help until he has hit rock bottom (and taken you with him). Please get in touch with AA.

I know this sounds harsh, sorry. Been there, done that.
