Hi yoke - my name is Susie - I have had horrible headaches since age 3 at least 1-2 a week. My first 3 jobs, I never told anyone until an explanation was demanded about why I missed so much work. By that time, my co workers resented me for not carrying my load (even though I worked twice as hard as they did when I was there). My last job however, during my first interview I told them that I had a 30 year history of severe headaches and that I would miss work. Fortunately, his wife had migraines and he was sympethic and hired me. Too bad my husband got transferred and I had to leave that job but it gives me a little hope that I will find someone else that kind and understanding. The worst they can say is no but you might be suprised!!!
Of course the best thing for you or someone who might hire you is to get your condition under control, I suggest that you start part time at first - using Dr. visits and test as an excuse if you have to - that way your employer will know that you are trying to get better and you will be able to have some down time if needed. I hope this helps.
Good luck!!
