I've gone days without letup at times. The doc said it was just another HA taking over where the last one left off. When mine got like that, I usually ended up in the hosp getting DHE IV. It seemed to get them stopped for a while.
There are meds that are longer lasting than others. For me, Cafagot worked longer than Imitrex, but Imitrex worked faster.
