This ER doc, like a lot of others, needs an education in cluster headaches. As hard as CH is for men, I think it's much worse for women because they feel they have to PROVE they suffer from CH because of some myth that women don't have them. Get back to your neuologist and talk to him about your imitrex experience. There are other options. Ask about Oxygen--works really well for most people without all the side effects. Try to get your husband to do some reading here--it helps us supporters to understand this illness too. Best of luck, Joy
