First of all, thanks a lot for the responses, ideas, suggestions to my previous post (4/9, 1306).
Yesterday, after having an attack that caused me to excuse myself from a meeting at work, I had no more attacks, but shadowed most of the day, which kept me wondering when it was going to hit again. It didn't. I had a great night's sleep. Woke up with some slight off and on shadows, but no dancing with the demon.
I will definitely take the treatment again soon. Probably Monday, since I'll be a part of nature all weekend, hunting the wily Merriam Turkey. Last years trip had me spending the majority of the time agonizing in the back of the pick-up, while the others hunted. That's one reason I've been so impatient about this treatment.
There have been some questions about how I grew the culture, etc. I think that my most important find was the website fanaticus.com From there, one can order spores...took exactly 2 weeks. They have very detailed, step-by-step instructions regarding the process. It is really simple, and entails about three steps. First, making the medium, made of vermiculite and rice flour, putting it in jars, adding the spores and waiting(the hard part)about 4-6 weeks. As per the instructions, you'll know when to remove the white "cakes" from the jars, and put them in a humid place..I used a 10 gallon aquarium that was laying around here, and a piece of plexiglass that I had cut at the hardware store. After this step, things start growing pretty rapidly, and I was harvesting (again, prematurely, because I'm impatient).
Drying is the next step, and easy. I am using a product called Damp-Rid, a granular substance that I spread out in a lid of an old cooler, with a screen over it, all slid into a plastic bag. Takes a couple of days. The whole process has taken about 6-7 weeks, maybe less, (impatient), and it continues to produce.
I told my teenage kids that I'm growing a homeopathic cluster headache remedy, that uses tea made from a fungus that can't be bought in stores because the FDA doesn't recognize it as a true medicine. There have been no further questions, aside from the remark from my son that I have a meth lab in the basement. Cute kid.
Sorry this is so long. So long.
