First off, thanks for the feedback Tim, it is greatly appreciated. I myself have never grown the shrooms (always collected them in the wild) but intend to do so this year. You post has assured me that this is a relatively straight forward (and perhaps even enjoyable) process.
Now to the important part. If after 5 days you are still getting hit with severe headaches, then I suggest a repeat dose, possibly stronger. If you are only experiencing shadows then I recommend you ride it out and see if the cycle breaks altogether.
This treatment must be used with discretion. I believe that too frequently may cause undesirable changes in subsequent cycles.
I have heard people say things like "I feel it coming back (although no attacks have actually occurred) thereore I'm going to take another dose". Don't! I have 8 years experience of this treatment, and you will get hit by isolated bouts of shadowing, and even the occasional low level attack throughout each period of remission. These often come after late nights, too much red wine, stress, thinking about CH, etc, etc. In my experience the actual remission will last around 12 months, so hang in there as long as possible.
Here's a good way to think about it. Imagine someone handed you a bottle of pills and said "Take 1 each time your cycle comes round and they will terminate it. But be warned this is the ONLY bottle, there isn't any more where that came from!"
Use it with discretion, take it only when the cycle is absolutly under way, and lets face it, it's usually a week before we know for sure...
