Don’t tell her to run, ask her to walk with you. If she truly loves you, she will understand and be one of your best weapons against the beast.

I am a supporter and some of the things I experienced is frustration and failure...NOT at my husband, but with myself because there is nothing I can do to make the pain go away instantly and forever. She will get frustrated with the doctor, will not think he/she is doing enough sometimes, she will get mad as hell at the insurance company because they do not understand either.

She will also learn when to hug and when to leave you alone during a CH. She will be able to look at you and tell you you are getting a CH, better than you can sometimes. The red eye, the droopy eye, or just a look on your face. She will know when to run get the Imitrix injection before you ask for it, when to get an ice pack, or whatever you need. And she will learn when to just stay clear. (DAMN, heard hubby in other room just now, stirring and knew it was a CH..see what I mean!!)

But, most of all, she will be someone that understands your pain and will do ANYTHING she can to help..and I think that will help you through it, too!!!! Good Luck and best wishes.
