didn't care for all the bugs, also didn't care for the massive new homes in my area, but they drained the swamps and those nasty mosquitoes were rare last year, poor hornets and spiders don't have anything to eat. At my last country home always had to contend with snakes, these 8 foot long pine snakes, always concerned about the little kids playing in the yard as these snakes are a constritor, they feared me and my ax more than I feared them, most would leave, but some would pick a fight and they got the ax. Would be nice to find a country home without insects and critters such as a rabit skunk, but I don't think such a place exists.

The worse vacation I ever had was in northern MN, didn't make any difference about the time of day, go outside an a million bugs would chew you up, had an unusal heat spell hitting close to 100 F during the day, could smell my fresh cooking if out in the middle of that clear blue lake with the sun's reflections, ha the younger kids stayed in the air conditioned motor home that I was wise enough to screen those 50 thousand vents and watched Disney tapes on the VCR, air was fresh, no CH's, but what a trade off.
