I stumbled upon this site this morning, while in the midst of a vicious attack. I actually cried from a strange "joy" over reading the personal accounts on the home page -- at last I knew I really do not suffer alone. I have an appointment at the Michigan Head Pain and Neurology Institute in Ann Arbor Michigan May 8th, that date is keeping me sane. I seem to fit the description of cluster headaches, except mine last for three days at a time - some times longer - - so I am confused. The pain is not something you can explain or describe to anyone who has NOT had one - - and its a depressing feeling to think no one understands. I am normally a very happy person, but when I am in the throws of one of these mind-blowing headaches, I can actually understand the whole suicide concept - THAT alone scares me. Thank you all for listening, it is a GODSEND to find others who KNOW what its like to deal with this affliction.
