Dear friend, I understand your concerns. I have been chronic for 3 years with no remission. No meds worked for me. I tried all of them except lithium. I was horrified. I heard stories about memory loss, turning into a zombie, etc. My neuro recomended it 3 years ago. I said, "no, lets wait and try the others that are not so risky". If I would have listened to my dr. and not been such a chicken to take lithium I would have been pain free three years ago. They do blood tests on you to make sure it isn't toxic to you. I am taking 900mg a day and doing just fine with no side effects. I would recomend giving it a try. Good luck!
