I haven't had this problem myself yet because I have a PPO rather than an HMO. But I work with persons with developmental disabilities in the Michigan and Medicaid has gone to "managed care". Don't get me started! In some cases, the insurance companies change the brands of meds they are to something cheaper. And they do this without warning, too. but we were given warning about the doctor switch. You definitely should have been informed as soon as that doctor stopped being on your HMO.
