I would like some advice from fellow CH sufferers.

Background: Episodic CH since 14 y/o (now 38). 2 to 3 clusters/yr of 15 to 25 days, until age 35 -- and then they just up and quit. Go figure.

Previous meds: Only one that works (and it worked great for me) is Cafergot suppositories (minimal dosage). Sansert, Imitrex, Oxygen, and any/all painkillers did nothing.

Concern: Was in at the MD today, after 20 years of hypertension, found bad blips on EKG (heart strain) and the MD is INSISTENT that I take anti-hypertensives, and perscribed Verapamil. I've been reading CH and H/A threads for years now (though rarely post anything) and have read a lot of posts about rebounds after stopping Verapamil. My concern is that if I begin Verapamil, that I may be inciting my CH to return....

Comments? Suggestions? Flames? Opinions?

All are welcome. B. Nice with flames though ;P

Thanks,
Tim
