I think you've got something wrong with the "rebounds after stopping Verapamil".

Verapamil does not shorten or even end the cycle (as Prednisone can do), but just damps down the attacks, and for some masks them completely.

For some people Verapamil works so great as a preventative, that they think, erroneously, that their cycle is over. If they get off the Verapamil too early the attacks break through again, but that has nothing to do with rebounds.

So, if you take Verapamil to lower the BP, you'll have the added advantage of being already on a preventative if CH will ever come back again.
