I have found my answers here. Out of 77 posts and roughly 38 user of Depakote there were 10 negatives.
Of course, when the web host says that Depakote sucks, everybody else listens. It has even helped Chronic sufferers.
I don't know how much effort the 10 negatives gave to let the medication work or how much they were on.
Here are two quotes:

depakote, has really helped me to get rid of the hangover effects of either the other meds or the headaches themselves. I
reallyfeel like a new person who has been given a new lease on life.
The last letter i wrote was a very negative letter, because I did not think anything was going to help. I am very sorry for that
letter and wish to apologize for it. there is hope!!!!!. I thought i had tried everthing , went through all medical procedures, and
all medical specialists. I know that it is tough to remember in the middle of a cluster, but keep on hoping there is help. I've
been there . I have had Clusters for 10 years now.and have been on the depakote for about a month it has been the best time I
have had for about a year and a half . thank you all for your letters and kindness. REMEMBER KEEP ON HOPING THERE
IS HELP. SLIMTIM

I just found a cure for my headaches!!! I have been suffering from them since I was 23 pretty regularly and I am now 33. I
tried everything to no avail! I even was hospitalized recently for rebound headaches from the only thing that did work for
me(but only AFTER I got a Headache and it made up drowzy)Fiorinal. I was so sick and tired of the pain and the stigma of
taking the pain medications that I seriously thought about ending my life. I felt like an old lady at 33, depending too much on
my husband, and not participating in life. FINALLY my dr. put me on depakote and within 2 weeks I was pretty much
headache FREE! NO NOT JUST ABLE TO ABORT A HEADACHE BUT NOT EVEN GETTING ONE IN THE FIRST
PLACE!!! NO MORE TRIPS TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM LATE AT NIGHT!!! NO MORE LIEING IN BED ALL
DAY!! NO MORE MISSED WORK!! I CAN EVEN HAVE A GLASS OF CHAMPAGNE AT A WEDDING OR A GLASS
OF RED WINE WITH DINNER OCCASIONALLY!!!!!I feel young and USEFULL again and I forgot what feeling good
really felt like! I hope you all will try this. I want you to all feel like I do!! God bless and good luck!!

I also found a lot of other people talking Bipolar and Cluster.
The search engine is there, I won't get into any pissing contest with any of you.
Find your own answers, I have. If I listen to the old man who has had CH for 40 years, I hear a cynical person that tells me to
deal with it One day at a Time. Is that different than the doctors playing hit and miss?
If you do not have a closed mind, I suggest you try Depakote and keep at it to give it a thorough trial. Even Rich said it
prevented his cycle from even returning.

When I first found this site is was a god send. Now it seems as though it is about an inner circle of friends who have started
Social Club for Clusterheads. If anybody says something that is outside of there box, they are condemmed.
I find it interesting that there is no list of affective treatments that have worked for people, but a waterX3 is listed that has
worked for how many?
Somebody needs to track known cures people have found for them. If it helps one person tame the beast, isn't it worth it?
One more thing, if you think you don't go through severe mood swings when the devil picks you, then your only fooling
yourself.
I have tamed the beast and the rest of my life will be my own. Let the beast feed on the inner circle.
