I miss a lot of the information here because it takes a long time to view articles. I've also missed questions other sent me because they scrolled off the board to the archive area. I wonder whether it's worth it to post to threads which haven't been touched in several days because most people probably won't scroll down and see the replies anyway. Even more important, without the web download tool other have suggested, there wasn't a convenient way for me to save the article to my computer for reference.

On the other hand, a lot of people don't know how to use newsgroups, so this page reaches more people. There is a news group which cluster sufferers have posted to for years, alt.support.headaches.migraine. This web page gets much less trolling, spams, and flames than that news group.

I often considered starting an alt.support.headaches.cluster group, but decided against it because the migraine group was already established and therefore on most news servers, because many of the migraine and cluster people there have been internet friends for years, and because a lot of the same medicines are used for both kinds of headache so the information about side-effects is useful for both kinds of patients. Sometimes cluster patients who had been misdiagnosed as having migraines would come into the group and we could open their eyes to their real headache type. Basically, all headaches types are discussed in the migraine group.
