About the addiction. There is one school of thought that you cannot get addicted to narcs if you're in chronic pain. I've "overdone" Cafagot for several years (the PB with phenobarb) and HAVE NEVER had any trouble quitting it when I wasn't in pain. A few days of sweats, but that's about it.
Now that I'm not having the pain, I have no desire to take ANYTHING.
My theory is TAKE ANYTHING THAT WORKS. Worry about the rest after the pain is gone!
