Yes, TN is more of an electric shock type of pain. My mom had it until she had a surgical nerve block. The intensity of pain is comparable to CH, but different. My mom had many attacks every day, shorter in duration than clusters and set off by eating, cold, touching her face, etc. Was treated with dilantin, tegretol, etc. prior to surgery. Sounds like you're being treated for TN, Jim, but if there's a chance you do have CPH, there's a different treatment for that and it should be investigated.
