480mg (what I take) is considered by most doctors and medical literature to be a very high dose... 720mg is extreme. My doctor had a royal shit fit whe I asked him to up me from 360mg to 480mg, but reluctantly agreed.
As long as your doctor monitors your heart functions regularly, you might be o.k. But you might also want to consider if you need 720mg, then verapamil might not be working so well for you. You might want to try something else.
