I forgot how bad these headaches hurt!!! Started my cycle one week ago and it got really bad last night. Went from a very pleasant #2 to a #7-8 and I know they will only get worse. Makes me very thankful for the 3-year vacation from clusters I have had!
My doctor who is not a neurologist (Kaiser will not refer patients to neuros for headaches!! -- they give unlimited Imitrex though!) has given me Inderal, Paxil and Elavil. Has anyone had success at all with Paxil. I am very hesitant to take it. She also gave me Maxalt instead of Imitrex, because of high blood pressure, has anyone tried that?
And last but not least she would not give me Lidocaine because of the blood pressure. Do any of you suffer from higher than usual blood pressure during these. I explained to her how stressed I was about getting the h/a again, but did not work.
