You have to realize that we're a close family here due to our shared malady. As with all families there will be some snipping, squabbling, and some hurt feelings. They don't last long, but the air is cleared for a while until the next spat starts. What will the media see? That we're human and in pain? Everyone is different and vents in a different way.
As to the drugs. Some CHeads don't find any relief except in narcs. It is hard to explain to a doc that you really hurt like hell and WANT IT TO STOP. As for the illegal drugs (pot, etc)if they help - well nothing is worse than the pain of CH.
As for as jokes - we need those too, as well as poems and whatever. This is the way we get our feelings out into the open. I still smile (or laugh out loud) about the dog (Mr. R.) and when a Clusterhead can smile or laugh about anything, I personally think that's great medicine.
Yes, CH is SERIOUS and no one's aware of that more than those who come to this board, but we have other things we need to get out also. Sometimes just letting off steam about whatever is bothering us helps clear up our depression.
I sincerely believe that if I hadn't found this board when I did, I wouldn't be here today. I had had about all one person could take and was ready to call it quits - till I found there were a lot of others in the same or worse shape than me. It saved my sanity if nothing else. I actually feel closer to the people on this board than my own family at times because the family on this site UNDERSTAND -my family doesn't.
I don't mean to preach (it's just the mother in me I guess) but be tolerant to those of us who try not to be as serious as others. We all handle things in our own way. But our goal is the same. To find relief from CH pain.
