I'm proof that docs will prescribe Imitrex to smokers. I saw a bunch of smokers last weekend who also were regular users of Imitrex. Smoking in itself is risky. For that matter, using Imitrex is risky. Hell, driving a car is risky. But a clusterhead in pain without hope is by far, much riskier. He might want to try Oxygen. There are other treatments available, also, that might possibly eliminate the need for abortives and preventatives, altogether. Stick around. And by all means, keep an open mind.
