sounds like your doc needs a CH education. First of all, Topomax isn't going to abort the headaches. It's a preventative and it has helped some people here in the long run.
Next, I think most of the people here who are on Imitrex are smokers. Smoking IS disgusting and evil and all that, but most of the folks here who have quit haven't noticed a change in their clusters. I hope your guy is one of the lucky ones.
Read everything you can and keep fighting the fight.
