I won't take sides on whether Vancouver is or is not a good choice, and I applaude Bonnie and Warren for being foolish enough to volunteer to organize the next Convention :-), but I do believe that the Bylaws should be followed if they are to have any meaning.

I have no idea who the "lot of members" who asked for Vancouver are, and I don't recall seeing any discussion here or anywhere else on this subject.

As I said in my reply to James' post, I believe there are a number of issues that should be considered when a Convention location is determined, and most of them are conflicting. But the overriding issue probably should be this....is OUCH a top-down or a bottom-up organization?

These are not issues that are up to me or any other individual to decide, but they are probably matters that OUCH, as an organization, should confront and resolve.

Just my humble opinion.
