Hi Skylark,
I know how you feel, I've tried many, many different techniques that work for some, but with no results.
I've switched from extreme heat to my head to extreme cold. As I smash my face against the cold pack, it sometimes feels like I might be freezing my eyeball. Not sure if this is possible, but don't have to be a doctor to guess this can't be good if it's really happening.
I'm now kind of under the impression that whatever I do, be it heat, cold, rubbing, etc., are all only diversions until the Imitrex or oxygen sets in?
Otherwise, they don't work on their own, sometimes not even the oxygen. The oxygen only works up to 7, but only seems to hold off the attack for about an hour.
So who knows what we'll try next, you're idea sounded worth a try : )
