I am truly amazed. I have just been reading down the posts and saw the stuff on the above. I followed the link to:

http://people.atl.mediaone.net/jholloman1/shrooms/index.htm

Now all is clear.

On the 11/12/99, for the first and only time in my life, I tried a half tab of LSD (yes, for recreational purposes). Completely (so I thought) unrelated, I thought I had out-grown ch or something, as I have been free up until last week... Major revelation - now I know why.

Quote from web article: "LSD was used as a clinical treatment for migraine, albeit for a short period of time, before bad publicity over its recreational side effects brought about its removal. It was, however, and extremely effective treatment, far more so than either methysergide or ergotamine. Unlike its siblings, LSD was able to function at very small (sub-hallucinogenic) doses. A single dose was also sufficient to provide long term relief, often counted in months."

The "recreational" experience was, frankly, over-rated...but to go 20 months without a ch attack is incredible! I understand the obvious reluctance in some of this site's regular contributors about this topic, but if it is true that it is massively successful in treating this dreadful condition (and my experience suggests that it is - 24 yrs a sufferer with 6 mths remission at the most apart from this), people should know!

Maybe it doesn't work with everybody, as I would hate to raise false hope...but no prizes for guessing what I'm going to be desperately trying to resource over the next few days!
