I go to this "smokers retreat"...an outside spot that us evil addicted weedheads congregate...I have met and am establishing relationships with some folks....their kids are in various states of sorrow...It reminds me of you guys...and our relationship.

1.a guy has twins born 23 weks old....1LB....one day one dies...the next day...i never see him agin...lost both...no money fer funerals was one of his worries.
2. Cathy's 6 yr old daughter has CF...Cystic Fribrosis(SP)...48 times in the hospital...a death sentence at pre-teen....a lovely mom
3.this smoking area also serves an adult patient hospital....a bearded guy...guessed he's my age....arrived pushing the IV tree thing...I says "So...whatta ya in fer ...armed robbery?"...he was stabbed 3 times by a teen for his $150 dollars...DEN puts on his best "shit fer brains" look!....oh my oh my....I don't see him fer 4 days...Turns out his 19 yr old son on a basketball scholarship...in his first year in pre-med...at Kansas U...hit an 18 wheeler on a bike at 90 miles an hour...he had to order the machines OFF....pull the plug...buried him...returned here...and shat the shit with me tonight...so deep so wide is this river we cross.
4.there is a crazy lady...wears animal slippers everywhere...named Carol...she is extremely animated...loud...funny...the kind of person most people avoid....I love her...she is right up my alley...we do what is close to being a show....when we are just talking....she is here to see her Grandbaby...3 months old...today...this morning....they confirmed she has CF...Cystic Fribrosis(SP)...death sentence...I found her curled up in a corner of a hallway crying...are ya following this?...Go to #2...I introduced her to Cathy...they were inseperable last i looked...
5. Everywhere ya turn here...are children and parents and grandparents in the grips of trauma that tear yer heart out...
